When making the Player Gauntlet for Tiny Castles, I aimed to blend the device's interface seamlessly with its design. In VR, a busy interface can disrupt the experience. By integrating the UI into the bracer, we found a unique solution that maintains VR's immersive nature. The bracer allows you to mount 3-5 weapon upgrades to transform your hand into tools like a hammer or a grappling hook. It displays an elemental symbol like lightning on the back of the hand, with glowing fingers indicating the gestures for attacks.

Creating the Character of Tiny Castleing proved to be an engaging and imaginative journey. Since the player’s perspective was that of a god, overseeing characters beneath, the design approach emphasized clear distinctions through bold shapes and distinctive silhouettes for quick identification of player classes and enemy types. Centered on hand-tracking mechanics, the incorporation of pinch points in each character’s design allowed the player's gauntlet to seamlessly connect when interacting with them, enhancing immersion and ensuring a delightfully interactive experience.
